As usual, I started the day arriving work at 9am. Nothing interesting worth mentioning.. except that everyone was in a waiting-to-knock-off-at-3pm mood.
Went for a dental appt at Far East Sq during lunch. Was secretly pleased with myself for being able to book an appt within such a short time frame. My regular dentist at Pan Asia, including most dental clinics in Punggol, had appointments booked until Mar 2008! I was so desperate that I almost pleaded them to allow pre-payment - all so I could make the dental claim for 2007 before end of yr. Of course I was flatly refused.
I just couldn't believe my 'good luck' when I managed to make an appt w Dr Philip Goh Dental Surgery on the last day of the year. My gleefulness was short-lived when my appt turned out to be the worst ever!
So much for their mantra - Our aim is no pain! We listen to you as a patient, care of you as a person.
Oh puh-lease, what rubbish!
On the contrary to their mantra, the treatment was unbearably painful. After cleaning and scaling, my gums were literally dripping blood. Having undergone orthodontic treatment and 2 major ops, I am definitely not someone with a low pain threshold. Also, for obvious reasons, he kept persuading me to remove my wisdom tooth when my regular dentist had advised me it wasn't necessary. Enough said,.. this dental clinic is highly NOT recommended. Anna, my colleague, agreed whole-heartedly.
After work, tried to play Cupid between an ex-classmate and an acquaintance. Unfortunately, things didn't work out. :(
Managed to rush home in time to catch a last glimpse of Tay Ping Hui who was already wrapping up a scene in my house (yes, mediacorp was filming at my place!). Engaged in a small talk with him and felt so thrilled over it - didn't know I could get so star-struck at this age,. heh heh
