Wild Rocket
Attended Serene's 30th birthday. Quite surprised that she would celebrate her birthday with a big bang. As far as I could remember, after my 25th birthday, all other birthdays were spent celebrating in a hush hush manner with immediate family members.
Dinner was at Wild Rocket, a cosy restaurant nestled on a hill near Dhoby Ghaut but yet a distance away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Each dish that was served to the dinning table had a local singaporean twist to it. Instead of the common black pepper crab, we had soft shell crab served with black pepper sauce. The second course which was rigatoni with slow braised dark soy pork ragout was equally delightful! And by the time the third course, Duck Leg Confit, was served, I was completely sold!
I enjoyed the food so much that I went back for their lunch set within the same week on Good Friday with my sis and cousins!

Company D&D
Attended RBS D&D despite the fact that response from the team was only lukewarm. Theme of the night was 'Disco Night'.
Not in the mood to write much.
As the saying goes, a picture speaks a thousand words.
Even Molly, our pantry auntie, was invited to the function. The 60s hunk beside her is my boss.

Delayed New Year Posting
It is just amazing how time crept pass without you even realising! Yes, I have been procrastinating this post and its been almost 6 weeks past the 15th day of CNY!! (well, I was waiting to consolidate pictures from everywhere before publishing this post.. *wink*)
Pictures taken in office on New Year's Eve. Everyone was in a festive mood~

New Year Visiting at SK's lovely abode:

Though CNY is one of the holidays I look forward to after the Christmas and ang-moh New Year holidays, its more the break off work or piano lessons than anything else.
I had always felt that CNY is a time when many people with nothing in common but blood are forced to put together to mingle. Constant pesters from gossipy relatives to get pregnant pissed me to no end.. and I mean it. Snapped at one aunt much to the horror of my on-watching parents. Am sure this will keep me away from their mindless talk for a while.
Other than the not-so-pleasant incident, this CNY has been quite enjoying for me, surprisingly. Have been feasting on good food non-stop at family or friends gatherings and company functions. Guess some people (like myself) look forward to festivals like these because they give you legitimate excuses to take a temporary break off your eat-healthy-and-in-moderation new year resolution.

Team's Lou Hei lunch at Spring Court:

Department CNY Lunch at Fullerton. Heard the company paid quite a fair bit for the meal but food was only mediocre. So much for the ambience~
