1st Month anniversary

1 July completes my first month in London. I can't emphasize how glad I am to be here. I have always enjoyed busking in the company of good 'ol friends. Coming here actually got me out of my comfort zone to experience something different. Staying on my own really isn't all that miserable afterall!

10 things I have learnt/discovered about London during my one-month stay:
  1. Air-conditioning should not be taken for granted here. It is NOT common in England.

  2. NEVER attempt to do a foreign currency conversion when you make any purchase. It will just give you a heart attack.

  3. QUID is the slang for Pounds.

  4. Kampung chickens are known as FREE-RANGE chickens.

  5. The TUBE MAP is really not as complicated as it looks. In fact, the tube is the easiest mode of transport in London.

  6. Portobello Road market DOESN'T just sell mushrooms.

  7. There is no 1 british accent. People do speak with different accents in London.

  8. LUNCH isn't really considered a meal, like breakfast and dinner. Hence, most people make do with sandwiches in front of their work stations.

  9. The british and americans AREN'T exactly the best of friends like we thought how Tony Blair and George Bush are. In fact, they are really only 'Distant Cousins'.

  10. British are warm and nice people!
